About Alba Abad
Since 1992, Alba Abad has been teaching Spanish in Quito. Originally from Loja (located in the southern part of Ecuador), she moved to Quito to attend university, where she received a degree in Education, specializing in Castillano Spanish. Alba has taught Spanish ever since then.
Teaching is one of Alba's greatest passions. Over the years, she has worked in several of Quito's most prestigious Spanish language schools and has had the pleasure of helping many students improve their Spanish fluency. Having tutored all types of students, from business executives and doctors to tourists and university students, Alba continues to find great joy as a teacher.
Quito has such a rich history that can be experienced through the markets, churches, museums, and festivals, along with on-going theater performances throughout the city. Many of Alba's students have enjoyed making a cultural program part of their lessons, serving to enrich and diversify their experience in Ecuador.
When Alba is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, reading, and taking walks through many of the scenic parks in Quito. However, teaching Spanish and sharing Ecuador's national treasures always remains a rewarding experience for her.
